Palanadari: Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (PM AJK) Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that Lawyers are the core portion of our society and curators of law, government of AJK has framed posts of additional session judges in every district and formation of Shariat Appellate courts being the accomplishments of PMLN in AJK.
While addressing to session organized in the aegis of District Bar Association Sudhnoti on Sunday, Prime Minister said that government of AJK is striving for the betterment of justice system within the state and co-operation of lawyers is certain in this regard.
Speaking on the Accountability system, we want to make the social order exemplary be discouraging corruption and introducing merit system, Prime Minister said adding that it is essential to maintain the stream of democratic system. While giving an example of AJK Public Service Commission “we have ended the culture of favoritism and nepotism in the state by introducing non gazette induction by NTS; I have appointed unbiased members in AJK PSC and appointed a retired general as its chairman which has developed confidence and now all gazette post appointments are made on merit.” Prime Minister maintained.
Prime Minister reiterated that an efficient accountability system will be acquaint to build confidence in masses. “We are trying to increase the strength of standing council in AJK for and effective trail of cases; government is committed to resolve all concerns of lawyers.” Prime Minister added and announced 1 million rupees grant for District Bar Association Sudhnoti.
Meanwhile Prime Minister also visited Cadet College Palandari where Cadets Company paid salutary to Prime Minister.
Principal Cadet College apprised the Prime Minister about administrative and financial matters. Prime Minister on the occasion said, “The performance of this college is a model in the State, it is our responsibility to ease the students.” Prime Minister announced safety wall project besides 2 km road and a tube well for the College.
Prime Minister on his tour of Palandari placed foundation 20 km road project from ‘Azad-Pattan’ to ‘Gui-Nala’ with the estimated cost of 814.558 million; foundation stone of another project of maintenance and reconditioning of 10 km road from ‘Palandari’ to ‘Galla’ with estimated cost of 257.869 million was established by Prime Minister.
