ISLAMABAD (APP): The echo of national anthem, melodies of patriotic songs and hoisting of national flags everywhere across the country has set the stage for all Pakistanis to welcome the morning of 70th Independence Day of Pakistan on August 14.
On this day, people of all ages called Pakistanis with rich cultural heritage, traditions and values and above all living in an independent state look back and recall the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and National heroes who struggled for the freedom of Muslims of Subcontinent.
Children, youngsters, male and female students all look more enthusiastic than others on this day and participate in various activities to celebrate the value of Independence and pass on the historical value of this day to the coming generations.
Leading cultural organizations involve the children in puppet shows as vibrant costumed puppets grab their attention and narrate the story of freedom movement in an entertaining way.
While the competitions and shows of national songs, patriotic melodies, speeches and tableaus call the students to participate in the activities and show their talent as well as highlight the sacrifices of National Heroes. Cultural shows comprising folk and regional dances bring the traditions of all the provinces under one roof to show the glimpses of
rich cultural heritage of the country.
Besides these activities, almost all the houses, markets, government and private buildings are decorated with flags, fairy lights, colorful bulbs and other decorative items.
