LAHORE: Pakistani weightlifters who have won bronze Medal at Commonwealth Games held in Gold Coast, Australia returned home on Friday.
Twenty-year-old Nooh Dastagir Butt has won the Bronze medal in +105kg weightlifting competition while Taha Talib has Bronze in 62kg category of weightlifting competition.
Nooh successfully lifted 222kg in his first attempt but his attempt to lift 228kg in 2nd and 231kg in the third attempt to turn the medal into Gold but couldn’t do it successfully.
On return coaching staff said that despite of being ignored by government and less facilities they have defeated well prepared India who had spent 12 billion Indian rupees for the preparation for bronze.
Pakistan had won another bronze in wrestling when Mohammad Bilal won third bronze of the tournament for Pakistan.
