Extreme Far Right Hindu Supremacist and anti Muslim hatred and ideology together with the resources to propagate it have finally arrived in the UK from India.
Saffron clad mind numbing peddlers of anti-Muslim hatred and inciters of violence and communal separation such as Sadhvi Ritambhara from India are working with and visiting a network of Hindu Temples across the UK to spread hateful RSS messages emanating out of the regressive ideology of Hindutva.
Although a campaign was successfully launched to stop her touring Hindu Temples to spread her vile message, it is still unknown how many Hindutva extremist hate preachers have already visited hindu places of worship across the UK whilst remaining under the radar.
Why are places of worship being used for spreading hate and inciting violence rather than spreading love and peace? Why is this being allowed to continue? Is the Charities Commission aware of and does it approve of its organisations with charitable status being used as dens of hatred and propagators of violence? Do charitable funders need to look at any religious temples to ensure that their grants and funds are not used for the wrong purposes? These are serious questions which need to be asked by the relevant bodies including local authorities.
What does the Home Office have to say about all this with it’s much vaunted Prevent Agenda? The Prevent Agenda has always been pushed aggressively in Muslim communities through Mosques and their leaders all over the UK. Are we to expect the same attitude towards Hindu communities and their Temples, or will business and trade concerns with Modi’s BJP government trump all other considerations? I fear the resistance of authorities to tackle this problem has roots in business and trade aims post brexit. It is far simpler to hold off tackling Hindu supremacist ideology and its manifestation in street thuggery, attacks and fascist marches through peaceful areas in Leicester than to upset our soon to be biggest trading partner I.e Modi Inc.
As a backdrop, the Modi led BJP Party in India is aligned to the Nazi / Fascist organisation called the RSS, which takes its lead from Hitler and the SS and Brown Shirts. Their dangerous hindu nationalist ideology is known as Hindutva.
Modi was the responsible Chief Minister of Gujrat State whilst under his watch over 2000 muslims were massacred by hindu mobs supported by the RSS. It was for this reason that Modi was persona non grata and blacklisted for many years by the US government and was not allowed entry until he became PM.
One of the major aims of the RSS in India is to eradicate the historical, political, economic and social presence of over 200+ million Muslims. It is important to note that under previous Congress party governments, that the RSS was totally banned. They have experienced a revival under BJP governments.
The RSS was so angry at the so called appeasement of Muslims by Mahatma Ghandi, that they assassinated him post partition of India and Pakistan. Remember also that it was the RSS that led the campaign to destroy the Barbri Mosque, and who are the ideologues behind the new discriminatory and racist Indian citizenship laws and of the banning of hijab in schools and colleges. Most commentators agree that Muslims in India are presently treated as second class citizens and there is ample evidence from Hinan Rights Organisations to suggest that muslims have been subjected to religious based violence, murder, rape, beatings and general islamaphobic persecution on a daily basis. Many observers agree that the muslims of india are today living in a hate filled and highly oppressive environment as a minority, full of fear and daily persecution.
Now the next phase of the Hindutva project is to internationalise their fascist campaign by promoting its tenets to other countries with Muslim populations that originate from the Indian Subcontinent. In Britan, there are fears that the RSS have aligned themselves with Zionist elements and with other UK based far rights groups. Indeed, some of the masked thugs who marched through Muslim communities in Leicester last week we are informed on the ground where white thugs with face coverings. Is this the beginning of a new phase of far right violence and thuggery in our communities?
The picture beginning to emerge over the past week of violence and islamophobic attacks suggest that the main objectives of the UK sympathisers of the RSS are:
- To continue to create fake media content to malign the British muslim community and to paint them as extremists and terrorists. Hence, the completely distorted stories being peddled by cheap and fake news RSS fronts in the form of some indian youtube channels and some Indian mainstream media houses known as ‘Godi Media.’ are unfortunately misusing the Leicester situation with fabricated stories, which in turn help to fuel unrest and violent attacks on Muslims in India where they are already weak, oppressed and persecuted as a minority community.
- Build a strong youth wing to ally itself with Zionist lobbies and with other far right outfits to engage in thuggery and to create an environment of fear to terrorise muslim communities in the UK.
- To build alliances with Zionists and UK based far right groups to jointly target Muslim communities. Their aim is to build joint strategies and to cooperate in the marginalisation of a ‘common’ enemy…I.e all British muslims.
- Most importantly, to deliver against the same political strategy utilised and well trodden by Zionists, which is to become the victims. Victimhood as a Zionist strategy has historically been known to be used to garner sympathy, and to demonize and marginalise progressive and leftist forces who raise uncomfortable questions about the oppression and disenfranchisement of Palestinians and the whole cause around Palestine. Their aim by pursuing a victimhood strategy is to paint all critics as anti-semitic to such an extent that journalists and political parties become too scared to challenge and raise questions, and in doing so they aim to win over public and political support to assist in creating a social and political space which then becomes a no go area for criticism. I.e People become too scared to challenge and criticise.
This is exactly what the Hindutva Fascists are aiming to do with their provocative marches in Leicester and street level group thuggery…to incite violence and to encourage a response which their media can then gorge on to create fake stories, fake news and lies which help to build the narrative worldwide that ‘Hindus are being attacked’, ‘Hindu Temples are being ransacked and desecrated, ‘Hindus are scared of going out of their homes’, ‘Hindus are living in fear’, ‘Muslim gangs are attacking Hindus on the streets of Britain’. The present crisis has nothing whatsoever to do with the recent India Pakistan Cricket match and with any subsequent unrest. The seeds of hate have been slowly planted over the past few years and months…the unrest causes by the cricket match was merely a symptom, not the cause.
This false narrative will help the RSS to lobby right wing politicial think tanks and a whole host of other right wing forces in the UK and US to bring in a new environment which will normalise Hindutva and not allow criticism of Hindu extremism and will rather paint any criticism as ‘Hindu Phobia’, thereby providing similar cover to allow them to grow with societal acceptance and support. They aim to normalise and make ‘Hindu Phobia’ an accepted reality which becomes part of the political and social discourse in Britain, US and the West.
This is the true agenda being followed by Indian RSS Fascists through their sympathisers in the UK. Difficult times may lie ahead and therefore now is not the time to bury our heads in the sand, as unfortunately Muslim religious clerics and local councillors have done over this issue, very much hoping that it would go away. Now is the time to build partnerships with progressive movements in the UK including with political activists, with trade unions, student and youth movements and with the wider community voluntary sectors to create a strong counter narrative, and to openly campaign, protest, to challenge where necessary and to lobby to stop this vile fascist ideology and forces from establishing themselves in the UK. This is the approach taken by leftists, the youth, local communities and progressives in the UK over the years to fight previous fascist elements…and so far it has worked. For example Jews were targeted in post war Britain by Mosely and his black shirts on Cable Street, and they were defeated by an array of progressives, Bengalis stood their ground in the 70s, 80s and 90s when fascist thugs from the National Front and BNP used to march down Brick Lane…again they were confronted and defeated by progressive alliances. The same challenge is happening in our communities today, only it is in the form of Hindutva RSS fascists…the faces may be different, but the ideology is the same.
Therefore similar alliances need to be established with all liberal minded people and progressives in partnership with local communities to tackle this scourge.
The peace and interfaith community harmony we enjoy today has been won over the years through blood, sweat and hard struggle and is well worth fighting for.
