Former President Pervaiz Musharraf shifted to hospital in Dubai after a reaction caused by a rare disease he is suffering from according to media reports.
According to Secretary General APML Mehrene Adam Malik, the former president was shifted in emergency on Saturday night as his condition becomes worsened suddenly.
While talking to Dawn, the APML President for Overseas Afzaal Siddiqui said that Musharraf suffered a reaction from amyloidosis a very rare condition. He is also receiving treatment on the same disease.
According to party resources, Musharraf has been advised for complete bed rest by his doctors till his recovery.
Back in October 2018, it was reveled by Mr. Siddiqui that former President is suffering from a rare disease that had weakened his nervous system.
The officials said that, “Musharraf’s treatment could continue for up to six months”. While upon full recovery, Musharraf intends to return to Pakistan.
On March 31, 2014, Musharraf was indicted for suspending the Constitution on November 3, 2007.
He, however, left the country in March 2016 for Dubai to “seek medical treatment” and hasn’t returned since.
