ISLAMABAD: Three days international conference on “China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC): Collaboration in higher education and sustainable development” in collaboration of higher education institutes will be organized in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by The China Study Center at University of Peshawar.
The purpose of the conference is to engage academicians, scholars, practitioners, journalists, diplomats, government officials, development specialists from around the world, with special participation from China and Pakistan. Aiming to generate a critical thinking over coordination integration and policy formulation across borders with special perspective of CPEC.
According to announcement, specialists from Pakistan, China and other developed countries of the world will analyse the trajectories thus meeting the objective by SWOT analysis of the project and making it more useful for whole region.
This conference will help participants from around the world to understand pros and cons of CPEC as game changer in Pakistan and the region. The speakers and presenter will explain the implications of CPEC in interactive session with participants. The event will provide opportunities for discussion, exchange of ideas and developing realistic perspectives on different aspects of CPEC.
The international conference will help develop a better understanding on CPEC and the perceived sustainable development in its wake.
The event’s objectives include exploration of collaboration in higher education between Pakistan and China universities, deliberation over avenues of strengthening joint research projects, exchange of faculty and students, learning the achievements of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and China Association of Higher Education, assessing prognosis of growth and sustainable development through connectivity and economic cooperation under BRI/CPEC, examining opportunities and challenges to CPEC, evaluation of the prospects of integration of regional countries under BRI/CPEC and enhancing trade and investment and scientific analyse of the impacts of CPEC on Pakistan and the region.
The conference is expected to provide opportunities to institutes of higher education in Pakistan to strengthen educational cooperation, which will benefit the youth of KP and polish their talents.
