Islamabad: A high profile delegation of academia and lobbyists has arrived in Islamabad to participate in a series of programs aimed at threadbare deliberations on different dimensions of the current state of Kashmir movement and the way forward.
The delegation comprises renowned educationists Prof. Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed, Jorge Town University, USA, Dr. Farhan Mujahid Chak, Qatar University, Qatar, Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai and Dr. Abdul Rauf Mir, World Kashmir Awareness Forum, USA, Dr. Nazir Qureshi, world Freedom Moment, UK and many others.
During a week –long stay, the delegation members are scheduled to make key presentations at
Islamabad based several top educational and research institutes, including National Defense University, Pakistan-China Institute, Policy and Research Forum, National University of Modern Languages, RIPHAH University, Institute of Policy Studies and AJ&K University, Muzaffarabad.
Some of the themes to be taken up at these events include human rights situation in Kashmir and international laws, changing geo-political realities in the contemporary world and available options to project Kashmir cause more emphatically in world capitals, especially in USA, UK and European countries.
The delegation would also have exclusive meetings with Prime Minister Azad Kashmir, Foreign Relations Committee of Senate of Pakistan, Kashmir Parliamentary Committee, Minister for Human Rights, top leadership of political parties and media persons.
Institute of Multi-Track Dialogue and Diplomatic Studies IMDDS) is hosting the delegation in Pakistan. It is an Islamabad based research and policy institute, engaged in multiple activities for a just and peaceful settlement of Kashmir conflict.
