Konya: Kashmir solidarity day was observed here at Konya, on Tuesday. Dr. Kubilay Kurtuluş Baştaş, Vice Dean of Agriculture faculty at Selcuk University specially graced the occasion.
He said Turkey stands with the oppressed people of Kashmir. Pakistan and Turkey share historical relations and have always stood by each other in difficult times.
While addressing, Umair Pervez Khan columnist and PhD scholar, briefed audience about the current situation in occupied Kashmir. He was of the point of view that kashmiris have become the symbol of resistance and hope for the oppressed people in the world.
He thanked the efforts of Turkey, Malaysia, China and other countries raising kashmir issue on various diplomatic forums. He praised Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for supporting the Kashmir cause at UNGA 2019. UN has a responsibility towards the conflict, if not fulfilled, can compromise it’s usability.
Revocation of article 370 depicts the fascist ideology of so called secular Indian government. It is against the UN resolutions and constitution of India itself. Kashmir is the potential nuclear threat in the region, he added.
PhD scholar Haris Butt said that, Kashmir solidarity day is of great importance as message of hope is necessary to be sent to the oppressed kashmiri brethren. Pakistan stands with the just struggle of kashmiris. International community cannot neglect the oppression by India in the valley of Kashmir.
Kashmiris have sacrified to every extent and their struggle will not go in vain.
Mr. Fatih, the assistant manager of international students organization Konya also spoke highly of the relations between Pakistan and Turkey.
He offered every possible help to raise awareness amongst international students about the Kashmir conflict. M. Waqas, performed as stage secretary at the occasion. M. Moiz recited the verses of holy Quran at the beginning of the program.
Bushra Su Kaya, Munazza Shabab, Ibrar Ahmed, M. Haseeb Qamar, Shabab Usmani, Shehryar Aziz, Sumaira Hashmi and Obaid Khan participated in the program. Large number of International students also attended the occasion. Speakers condemned the brutal force used by Indian occupational army to suppress the voices of kashmiris.
