Konya:Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, while addressing a mix gathering of students from Turkey and Pakistan here at Konya, said that Pakistan has to play an active role to get the support of countries other than big five on Kashmir cause. The UN and world is paying attention to Kashmir issue but it has to be channelised. The support we are getting from president of Turkey and Prime minister of Malaysia is unprecedented. The students have to play a greater role in this crucial time. Consistent efforts are needed to get appropriate results of our stuggle at diplomatic and other fronts. Imran khan was well articulated in UN session but the follow up is important, he added.
On the occasion İnternational Relations scholar, Umair Pervez Khan said that kashmiris will never forget the support Turkish government and specially Turkish students are lending to kashmiris at this dark point of their history. He specially thanked the office bearers of Kashmir Working Group, who are working hard on the diplomatic front. He reiterated that the relation between Pakistan and Turkey is exemplary and should be strengthened in coming times. The role of both Turkey and Pakistan is growing in the İnternational arena. İn coming years both of the countries will be more relevant in the politics of the region.
PhD candidate Haris Butt, while commenting said that research is the key to present kashmir case İnternationally.
On this occasion, the president of youth parliament (Konya), Önur Hanifi said that Kashmir is close to the heart of Turkish people. Turkey will always support the right to self-determination of Kashmiris.
Aziza zehra, Rukiya Okcanoglu, Hassan Sarikaya were of the point of view that İnterst about kashmir issue is growing in Turkish students.
Shabab Usmani, the student of media studies helped with the translation. Islamic studies Phd candidate Munazza shahab, Dr. Ibrar, Dr. Moiz, Shehryar Aziz, M. Haseeb Qammar, Summaira Hashmi amongst others were present at the occasion.
