UAE :Pakistan is making it huge presence in 16th edition of UAE Defence Show IDEX 2023 gearing up from 20 Feb 2023 at ADNEC, Abu Dhabi. IDEX 2023 is biggest defense show in the region hosting multiple numbers of exhibitors from across the globe covering all continents of the world. The defense show is being attended by Pakistan in an exceptional way through presence of senior level delegation including Minister Defense Production and other delegates from Pakistan Defense Forces.
Continuing its strong relations with UAE, Pakistan has joined the world biggest defense show in a multi facet way. The participation include establishment of Pakistan by Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO) under the patronage of Pakistan Ministry of Defense Production (MoDP) with display of four major state owned enterprises and two members from private sector.
In the show, Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) is displaying main battle tanks, armored personnel carriers and personnel protection equipment, while another manufacturing enterprise Global Industrial & Defense Solution (GIDS) has surpassed its own previous participation by displaying flagship products like UAV Shahpar-II, Air-to-Ground Cruise missile, Fateh-1 MLRS, Thermal Sights and Laser guided Bomb kits. The participation does not end here, as National Radio & Telecom Corporation (NRTC) has displayed state of the art software defined radios (SDRs), military communication systems, VVIP Security jamming solution, Anti Drone system and Battle Management System (BMS), while the leading ordnance enterprise (Pakistan Ordnance Factories-POF) has displayed a range of conventional / non-conventional small arms and other solutions.
Along with the state owned enterprise, two private sector firms have also made their way toward defense products by displaying hi-tech Thermal Imaging Sights of Shibli Electronics which is a very product by developing nation like Pakistan. Once asked from the representative of Pakistan Pavilion Organizer Lt Colonel Ejaz Ahmed, about the specialty of Pakistan; it was conveyed that Pakistan offers technically competitive as well as time tested defense products to our friendly countries at very affordable prices.
Adding more colors to UAE,s defense show, Pakistan Navy Ship YARMOOK has also arrived in Abu Dhabi on 19 Feb 23 to participate in in the defense show, while, Faisal NiazTirmizi, Ambassador of Pakistan to the United Arab Emirates, received the ship at ADNEC Marina on its arrival. The visit is aimed to strengthen the bonds of friendship between Pakistan and UAE.IDEX continues to benefit an increasing number of international decision-makers from within the defense- industry, government, armed forces and military personnel, and unprecedented participation from Pakistan one such manifestation of the same.
